HALLOWEEN 2011

The 31st of October fell on a Monday and after work Donna came home to pick me up, to travel to O Fallon, to have our traditional Halloween with Brian, Windy and our grand kids.
Around 6 o clock Donna accompanied Jacob and Luke from door to door in the entire neighborhood to trick or treat, in other words, begging for candies, while Brian and myself give away lots of candies to the kids who came by Brian and Windy's house. All kids enjoy tremendously this great tradition, even so they overdose on sugar and have a hard time to go to sleep that night.
Donna and I enjoyed and had great time to watch them, since this was probably the last year, because they grow up so fast.

WORLD TENNIS CHAMPIONS CLASSIC

Bjorn Borg

Still part of my birthday months celebration,  Donna and I went on Friday October 21st  to the Chaifetz Arena downtown St Louis to enjoy some good Tennis played by senior champions of this sport. The tickets where a birthday gift from Donna and we really where excited about to see Bjorn Borg in person again after so many years.

We left the house early to find a parking space close by the arena and then enjoyed Happy hour and a great dinner at Kota- Wood Fire Grill with some friends from Donna's work. This was the best part of the evening.
The tennis was mediocre and really poor quality. To top it of,  Borg had an injury an his knee and was a no show!! He was replaced with Todd Martin, I do not recall him being ever a mayor champion. Courier and Chang where playing pretty good but I was not very interested in them.

Refreshment only for Donna, I was the designated Driver

Not a good turn out, less than 2000 people

I hope the linesmen is awake

Donna's favorite line referee, she thinks this is me in 20 years!!

John McEnroe was kind of stumbling on the court like he had a few Budweiser to many.
His tennis was terrible but he was very entertaining. So instead of good tennis we had some laughs. He got blown of the court by Todd Martin who probably skipped on the Bud earlier.

Notice the extra ball in his sleeve

He is left handed, but never lost this extra ball during play.

This video says it all. More fun, less tennis.
