SPRING FURY

I believe we had one of the nicest spring time in St Louis since I have lived here, except a short 10 minutes two weeks ago. It was a furious hail storm, the worst I ever experienced. Hail the size of ping pong balls.

Just starting

Checking out the damage

Our drive way after the storm

Just hours after I heard from Daniel and Eric the amount  of damage the storm caused to there homes only about 3 miles from here. They experienced baseball size hail and it looks like the whole neighborhood needs new roofs.

Looks like Eric's hand

This was an exciting few minutes for me and luckily we had no damage around here.

About the same week our old coffee machine stopped functioning and we had to splurge on a new one.The old one we had for over 10 years and the counter read 19864 coffee dispensed. Averaging about 6 cups a day for  Donna and me.

Imported from Switzerland

Like I said before, beside that little spring fury we had nothing but dry warm weather, and everything is blooming way ahead of time and in return Donna and I enjoying life to the fullest, what you see in the next few pictures.

We also had two functions at our grand kid's schools we love to attend. Jacob dazzled us with a elaborated concert and Luke participated in his school's talent show.

ALIVE AND WELL

I know myself it's been some time since my last entry in this blog, but it needed numerous complaints to put me back in front of the computer and try to continue what I started 3 years ago.
For my defense, it was not only motivation of mine missing, until recently there was really noting worthy of writing about. But if I think about it, 48 days is not a long time, it only seems so. Also, the complains I got made my happy and helped my ego, it showed me that some people are actually reading my blog with some kind of interest. Enough of this, I am alive and well,  back on blogging.

End of April we had Jacob and Luke over for the weekend and had a great time.

Luke and Jacob taking on....

Donna

Luke needed full concentration playing

Master Ernie

Surprisingly the boys got tired or bored pretty quick and showed more interest in the play ground.

King of the tower

Good time for Luke

After finely getting home they where hungry  and Luke offered to prepare dinner

He started with corn on the cob

First he had to season the steaks

Now he was ready to grill them

He moved the corn to have room for the steaks

I like his concentration

He shows some good Technique

Luke also made some Coleslaw and dinner was fantastic, everybody enjoyed it.
