Actually I would have liked to add to my blog much earlier, but when it rains it pours. I promised at the end of my last entry that I will get much more people friendly again. The delay was again sickness and I am really getting tired of it. I sincerely hope this will be it.
Everything started being great again in our household when Donna's nephew, Ben Priest from North Carolina, came for a visit for 5 days and we had a blast. Donna and I were the tour guides and took him to see the Arch, the Budweiser Brewery and the Union Station downtown.
Ben is the son of Donna's brother Gary and sister in law Jane
Here on his first day with his welcome drink Bacardi and Coke
Having Huevos Rancheros for breakfast
We took time to explore the museum underneath the Arch
about the Louis and Clark expedition.
Here with a buffalo
and a Bear

Next visiting the Brewery
Waiting for the tour to Begin
Donna and I had toured the Brewery before, but it is always impressive and interesting
to see it again.
I think the beer aroma is taking affect
Inside souvenir Picture on departing
Again, we enjoyed the tour
Getting home, we had to have a few Bacardi,
but
changed over to Beer, since we came from
Anheuser Busch Brewery
I had a hard time to keep up with them.
Our excursion to Illinois with the Golden Eagle Ferry
The long awaited Bloody Mary in lonely bar at the island in Illinois.
Our destination of the Day
First time at Fast Eddy's in Alton
Fast Eddy is a well known restaurant and caterers mostly to young people and bikers,
I observed that, because they (the bikers) even have their own huge parking lot, so their
Machines don't get damaged.
The food is dirt cheep but tasty and the drinks are reasonable.
We liked it. and probably will revisit some day.
This was the last day for Ben's visit and he left for home the next morning.
Donna and I believe he had a great time here in St Louis.
Thanks for visiting us Ben!!
You know what they say...cheep,cheep, fun, fun! Glad an update finally happened...too bad I didn't get to meet the fella.
ReplyDeleteGlad it was a nice visit. He seems like he's having fun, and with you two as guides, how could he not!?! ;0) Nice to see a new post...finally.
