On Saturday, Sept 21st, our friends Tony and Amy Lucero should land in Zurich at 8:45 am. My brother Toni was nice enough to drive me to the airport, just so I don't get lost. Since Toni is a pro at this, we arrived at the arrival gate exactly on time to pick them up. Back to Neerach and after an emotional welcome with Donna and meeting my brother and Andrea, we packed up and went on to our destination in Grindelwald.
The weather was incredible beautiful, so I decided after a lunch in one of them fancy Autobahn Restaurant Moevenpick, to take my friends on the scenic route to really enjoy Switzerland's beautiful landscape. As soon I diverted from the Highway following on a small street along Hallwiler See I heard both of them breathing hard, realizing they're asleep, fatigue from the long flight all the way from Florida. So much for sight seeing. I took the direct route to Grindelwald on the highway and lots of tunnels and we arrived at 2:30 pm in the afternoon.
Our destination for a whole week: GRINDELWALD
First we went shopping at the Landy (a grocery) when we arrived at Grindelwald Grund. We needed some breakfast items like butter, marmalade, cheese, mettwurst, charcuterie and of course fresh bread. Also we could not forget chaser for our drinks (Tony brought Bacardi from the airport).
Well stocked we arrived at Toni and Andrea's home, opened the shutters on the widows and the balcony to let light and fresh air in. We also fixed our corespondent bedrooms before we drove back to the Bahnhof Restaurant Grund for some beer, wine and dinner. We where all tired that first night in Grindelwald and went to sleep early.
